A small copper ring which is otherwise nearly featureless except with the engraving of a small black rat. Said to have been the tool of a young and deceptive halfling bard who made quite a name for herself as a thief. She used the ring to infiltrate sewers and bend it inhabitant to her will.
The ring of the rat is a deceptively powerful item, granting the wearer the following abilities:
- The wearer is under the effect of persistent invisibility for up to 10 minutes per day. This ability can be suppressed or resumed as a free action and use need not be consecutive, although it is always used in segment of 1 minute.
- Ordinary Rats and Rat Swarm are automatically dominated (as dominate animal) when within 100 feet of the caster. The caster is perfectly aware of any rat or swarm in the area and can command them telepathically.
- The wearer is immune to mundane disease and can subsist on any organic matter for food without risking poisoning or malnourished.
