This ring made of Tyrantium and gold represents a snake coiling around a rose. It is given to the disciples of the Sacred Wound Theater, a secret cult of Loviatar.
When the wearer puts the ring on his finger, he feels a warm aura which gives him a bonus of +4 all his skill checks. But if he fights, then for every 10 points of damage he inflicts during a round during which he is under the effects of the ring, the character receives, in the next round, a moral penalty of -1 on attack, saving throw and AC. The more damage it causes, the greater will be its moral penalty. It is possible to receive more than one penalty for several rounds if the caster inflicts damage for more than one round throughout the duration of the spell. If the wearer kills a creature, they must make a Will saving throws against a DC of 25 or lose -1 moral on the attack roll and saving throws against fear. These two penalties do not disappear unless the bearer makes an act of repentance to Loviatar.
The effect of the ring remains active for 1 month after the ring is removed. During this month, its ancient bearer will seek to recover it. Each day, he must make a Will saving throws (DD25) or be irretrievably drawn to the ring. The effect of the ring can be dispelled by a Remove Curse spell or other similar effect. The wearer of the ring must make a Will saving throw against a spellcaster level test by the one casting the release spell. If the bearer's saving throw is higher, it remains under the effect of the ring. Finally, the ring is not affected by the effects of magic death, magic dissipation, or anti-magic effect.
