This pair of Rods are a somewhat successful attempt to replicate the Twin Nova Rods. Like it artifact counterpart the replicas come in a blue and red version. The rods possess two charges each, which replenish at the rate of 1 charge at the end of wielder's turned as long it was not used for 3 rounds. The caster level of the Rod is 6th or the wielder's own caster level, whichever is higher.
The Blue Rod fire rays of cold, which behave as the ray of winter spell at the cost of 1 charge. Although not designed as a melee weapon, it can be used as +1 Frost Heavy Mace if used as a melee weapon.
The Red Rod fire rays of fire, which behave as the scorching ray spell at the cost of 1 charge. Although not designed as a melee weapon, it can be used as +1 Flaming Heavy Mace if used as a melee weapon.
If someone possess both rods they may be wielded together, although she will take penalties on the ray attack as if wielding two one-handed weapon which may be lessened with the Two-Weapon Fighting Feat. The Rods count as both melee weapon, rods and wands for the purpose of feats and abilities.
The Replica Twin Nova Rods are unique items that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal. The value given above is for a single rod.
