Proof of Royal Heritage
You possess a magical scroll that shows your family history as proof of your royal heritage.
Benefit: You own an enchanted scroll (and scroll case) artifact which details an extensive royal family tree dating back to antiquity. The scroll lengthens to accommodate new members added to the bloodline. You're on the family tree as a direct descendant and therefore of royal blood and title (typically either Duke/Duchess or Prince/Princess). Gain Knowledge (royalty) as a class skill for all classes with a +2 bonus.
Drawback: The ability for others to manipulate you has been born into you. You take a –2 penalty on saves that alter your attitude, emotional state, morale or cause you to take actions against your will. You can never gain immunity to mind-affecting effects.
Special: Must have capacity to have a lineage with royalty.
Roleplaying Ideas: Perhaps this is secret. Perhaps with royalty comes royal responsibility and duty. Perhaps your presence marks you as a rival vying for power, making you enemies. Whatever power and riches owed to you, they won't be gained easily and this trait shouldn't be taken lightly as it requires a bit of extra work on the part of the DM. In addition, the DM may choose to add one or more exotic creatures to your bloodline: Astral deva, balor, centaur, couatl, djinni, doppelganger, dragon, dryad, elemental, erinyes, formian, giant, harpy, hero-rank deity, kyton, lammasu, lillend, lycanthrope, marilith, merfolk, minotaur, nymph, ogre mage, pit fiend, pixie, planetar, rakshasa, sphinx, succubus, titan, unicorn.
