The area around the mage was suddenly filled with deadly flashing colors.
This spell is similar to prismatic spray. Creatures with total HD less than or equal to the caster level of this spell are blinded for 1 round (no save), and every creature in the area is struck by two or more flashes, which have the following effects.

5 | Blue | Turned to stone (Fortitude negates) |
6 | Indigo | Insane, as insanity spell (Will negates) |
7 | Violet | Sent to another plane (Will negates) |
8 | Struck by three rays; roll again, ignoring any “8” results. |
