5e Spell Prismatic Burst
1st-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30ft
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
Casters: Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer

A burst of scintillating rainbow light explodes from a chosen point within range. Each creature in a 5ft-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they suffer 3d6 points of damage; On a successful save, they suffer half as much.

Additionally, each creature must roll 1d8 and consult the table below to determine which color on the spectrum struck them. This determines the type of damage dealt to that creature. If a creature fails the saving throw against the spell by 5 or more, they also suffer an additional effect, determined by the color that struck them.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.

2 Orange. The spell deals Acid damage. The target's AC is reduced by 1d6 until the end of your next turn.
3 Yellow. The spell deals Lightning damage. The target cannot take Bonus Actions or Reactions until the end of your next turn.
4 Green. The spell deals Poison damage. The target is Poisoned until the end of your next turn.
5 Blue. The spell deals Cold damage. The target's movement speeds are reduced by half until the end of your next turn.
6 Indigo. The spell deals Necrotic damage. The target is Paralyzed, and it possesses Resistance to all damage except Psychic, until the end of your next turn.
7 Violet. The spell deals Force damage. The target is teleported to an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 30ft of its original position.
8 White. The spell deals Radiant damage. The target is Blinded until the end of your next turn.
