Not all NPC are incapable of doing their job, the politician is an able speaker who is able to convince, motivate and ultimately lead a large group of people. This class is for the competent politician, be he a great stateman of man or scheming bastard, for the slimy incompetent politician a better class would be either Aristocrat or Expert.
Making a Politician[edit]
Abilities: A politician require both a good Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma to do his job right, although emphasis on the former and latter.
Races: Any races can have politicians, more martial oriented societies however shun them in favor or more warrior-type rulers.
Alignment: Any, but usually lawful.
Starting Gold: 500 gp plus fundraiser.
Starting Age: Moderate.

Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Politician.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A politician is proficient with a single simple weapon, but no armor or shield.
Deceive (Ex): A 1st level Politician know how to words her lies, making anyone she successfully used Bluff against one step friendlier towards her than normal, although it become one step less friendly than it originally was (so usually two step less friendly) if it discover the deception. This does not apply to any combat-uses of bluff (such as feinting).
Sweet Talker (Ex): A 1st level politician either receive the Negotiator or Persuasive feat as a bonus feat at 1st level, at 5th level she receive the other.
Amass Crowd (Ex): A 2nd level politician can amass a crowd with a 10 minutes speech. The size of the crowd depends on the local population but is usually dense enough to be considered difficult terrain.
Mastermind (Ex): A 3rd level politician use his Intelligence instead of it original ability score on Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise and Sense Motive checks.
Master Manipulator: A 4th level politician receive Master Manipulator as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites.
Enflame Crowd (Ex): A 5th level politician can deliver an passionate speech over the course of 15 minutes, any creature which match the alignment of the politician which listen to the speech fall under the effect of good hope for 10 minute per level thereafter. This ability may be used at will, however a single creature can only benefits from it once per day.
