Oil of the Announcer[edit]
This oil traps an object to announce its presence when disturbed.
When this clear gel is rubbed on an object it infuses the object with an effect not unlike magic mouth. If the item is picked up or otherwise used without a command word or some visual signal (such as wearing red or having a certain hat), then the effect activates and the object will loudly announce from a pre-established script of various phrases such as "Help, help thief!", "You've got boost power!" or "Another hand touches the bacon!". It speaks with the volume of a shouting person at all times, and will continue to speak until silenced with a secret command word or until 1 month passes, after which the magic is expended. The exact phrases and behavior is chosen when you apply the oil.
