Necessary Strike [Fighter] "It's weak... one more hit is all I need!"Benefit: On your action, before making attack rolls for the round, you may choose to gain a +4 bonus to all melee attacks. If you choose to do this, the damage from any attacks modified this way is reduced by one-half the original amount and you take a -4 penalty to any opposed Strength or Dexterity checks, and a -4 penalty to the DCs of any abilities that are triggered by your melee attacks. The bonus to attacks and the penalties from using this feat apply until your next turn. Example: Percy the level 5 paladin ordinarily does 1d10 + 5 damage with his flail. While using this feat along with a smite evil attempt, he gains a +4 to his attack along with all other bonuses. He successfully strikes his evil opponent, rolling a 6 on his 10-sided die, and therefore dealing 8 damage:
(6 from the die + 5 from other bonuses + 5 from his smite evil ability)/2.
Special: You may not apply any Metacombat feats on attacks that use this feat.
