1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.


This weapon is built like a morningstar, with an unusually thick mace-like base near the spiked ball. Sharper and more penetrating than an average morningstar but still swung the same way, this weapon can be used as a martial weapon, and sharing the same feats which apply to morningstars. However, those with the appropriate exotic proficiency can use its secondary function, allowing it to fire out the spiked ball like a cannon at any unsuspecting opponents, connected by an iron chain. Firing the ball is a ranged attack, while retracting the ball is either an attack or a move action. Rapid Reload lowers this to a free action. The ranged attack applies your Dexterity to the damage roll. The chain extends out to a range of 50 ft, with no further range increments.

You can use bull rush with your ranged attack roll, without needing to follow your opponent. If you score a critical threat, you may bull rush as a free action without provoking attacks of opportunity.

If you swing your weapon in melee with the chain extended you gain a reach out to 15 ft (for Medium and Small creatures), but do not threaten this area, and cannot attack creatures adjacent to yourself.
