Originally commissioned for the GAI Clothing Company, these tools have been replicated and made available for many artisans and fashion designers.
These tools primarily function as masterwork artisan's tools for Craft (clothing) and related checks (such as leatherworking). They also serve as masterwork tools for appropriate Profession checks (such as clothier, fashion designer, outfitter, seamstress, tailor and the like). In addition, they provide a magical +2 competence bonus on appropriate checks.
When using the tools, the artisan may make magical adjustments and fixes with the following abilities. These changes are limited to cloth and leather objects.
Quick Fix: The artisan may repair damage as per mending, though instead limited to a single object's 1 foot area. This ability is usable three times per day.
Master's Hands: The artisan may instead repair an object as per make whole. During this repair, they may also modestly alter the cut, fit and style of the object. This does not add or remove material or alter the overall size or weight of the object. It may modestly adjust the color or pattern and fashion, with any appropriate checks made during this alteration. This magic also cleans the object and removes stains and unwanted fraying and wear. This ability is usable once per day.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, make whole, mending, 4 ranks in an appropriate Craft or Profession.
Cost to Create: 800 gp plus 105 gp (masterwork skill tool components), 64 EXP, 2 days.
