Mage Knight Plate

This armor was designed with Adjusted SRD Armor in mind.

This regal set of armor was created for an ancient order of Duskblades, through heavy manipulation it is capable of channeling spells extremely effectively. The arrmor look like a tasteful mix between an heavy plate and great magical robe, often of exotic looks and color. Mage Knight Plates are designed for arcane caster and thus have a very low arcane failure, which can be negated easily through material or enhancement. Sadly all of these benefits come at the cost of actual protection.

If the character has some help, cut this time in half. A single character doing nothing else can help one or two adjacent characters. Two characters can't help each other don armor at the same time. The wearer must have help to don this armor. Without help, it can be donned only hastily.

Any benign magical effect cast on the Mage Knight Plate has it duration doubled, which stack with similar effect such as Extend Spell. The armor has a hidden benefit for duskblade an those capable of using Arcane Channeling or similar ability (such as the Mage Knight Shield, increasing the caster level and DC of spells cast through such ability by 1. Both benefits only applies to arcane spells.

The Mage Knight set also carry an extremely useful option for it wearer, the clothes part of the armor can be enhanced independently of the armor part, allowing it to be enhanced as a robe. However doing so count as a +1 Special Quality on the armor part which must be paid as extra and count against the limit of special quality the armor may have.
