Irresistible Blows [Salient Ability]
Your blows hammer down like rain, throwing the enemy off their balance as you destroy them.Prerequisites: Divine Rank 1, Weapon Focus and Improved Critical with the selected melee weaponBenefit: When the deity makes a melee attack with the chosen weapon against a creature and hits, the creature receives a -1 penalty on their attack rolls for 1 round. This penalty is cumulative for the number of hits you make, up to a maximum of -10 penalty.
You can also choose to make a single attack as a standard action, and the subsequent attack penalty becomes equal to your divine rank (no maximum). You also bypass all damage reduction, even DR/-.
If the attack is a critical hit, the creature must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Con modifier) or become staggered for 1 round. Weapons with a x3 critical render the target staggered for 1d3 rounds, and x4 critical render them staggered for 1d6 rounds. Subsequent increases in critical multipliers raise the die size on how long they remain staggered.
The deity’s attacks with the chosen weapons have damage reduction applied to all their attacks only once, as if it was one large attack. A deity can have this ability multiple times, choosing a different kind of weapon each time.
