With a single touch you send a creature hurling into an extraplanar prison in the void between the planes. The affected creature is put in an absolute state of suspended animation (much like the temporal stasis spell) and becomes totally inaccessible. The only way to free an imprisoned creature requires the casting of a miracle or wish (to find the creature between the planes) followed by an immediate casting of freedom.
A creature who succeeds on its save is only partially sent, dealing 1d4 points of typeless pure magic damage/caster level and becomes staggered for 1 round. If a creature would be slain by this damage, it does not die and is instead treated as if it had failed the save and been imprisoned.
