As you initiate this maneuver you create a trail of ice beneath your feet and skate forward, moving twice your speed on land. Until the end of your turn you do not need to balance while on slippery surfaces and you leave any square you pass through covered in ice, which melts 1 round later. Additionally you cause water and other liquids to freeze beneath your feet, allowing you to cross them safely.
