Making a refined blade out of ice takes skill. Striking with one is by comparison easy.
A more refined version of Ice Smash, this maneuver creates a razor-sharp blade of ice which extends past your weapon. You make an attack with an additional 5 feet of reach. This attack deals half-slashing half-cold damage instead of its normal damage type and its critical thread modifier becomes 15-20/×2. This overlaps with the weapon's original critical threat range, so to say a 20/×3 weapon threatens a ×3 critical on a roll of 20 and an ×2 critical on a roll of 16. After the attack is resolved, the blade shatters into pieces.
If used with a Dire Winter discipline weapon, you instead have an additional 10 feet of reach from this maneuver.
