The wizard Holt was known by many as the Bruiser in part for his liberal use of this spell, which often served as a precursor towards his much-renowned force magicks.
Upon completion of the casting, this spell forces the target to succeed on a Fortitude save or experience internal bleeding, taking 1 point of damage per character level or point of Challenge Rating they possess (whichever is applicable) during each of the caster’s turns starting with the turn the spell was cast. In addition, a creature affected by this spell becomes more vulnerable to damage, taking maximum base weapon damage from attacks with melee or ranged weapons for the duration of the spell’s effect.
An afflicted creature may end the spell's effect early as a standard action. A creature with no blood is immune to this spell.
