Gunchuck Gun Fu [Fighter, Tactical]
Prerequisites: Weapon Focus (Gunchuck or Bladed Gunchuck), Two-Weapon Fighting or variantBenefit: You gain the following tactical benefits.
- Storm Of Stinging Metal: When making a full attack with Gunchucks or Bladed Gunchucks, you make your iterative attacks at every +4 bonus, rather than at every +5 - So a Fighter with BAB +9 would have an attack sequence of +9/+5/+1 instead of +9/+4.
- Look Ma, Two Hands!: When wielding a pair of Gunchucks, you can use both as double weapons even though you're using them in one hand, allowing you to attack twice as often. However, each successive attack per Gunchuck while using this method deals -1 damage. Thus a fighter with Two-Weapon Fighting and a BAB of +11 (Normally an attack sequence of +11/+6/+1, or +11/+9/+4/+1 with Storm of Stinging Metal) could attack thrice with each end of both of his Gunchucks, giving him 12 attacks per round. However, after the first attack with each Gunchuck, he would suffer a -1 penalty to damage rolls for each attack he's already made - So the 6th attack with each Gunchuck would take a -5 penalty to damage rolls.
- Shield Of Whirling Steel: When making a full attack with Gunchucks, you gain a Shield bonus to AC equal to the number of attacks you can make, which lasts until the beginning of your next turn. This also applies when you use Wind Through The Thistles, whether it be used with Bladed Nunchucks or Bladed Gunchucks.
- Trigger Happy: You threaten all squares within the first range increment of your Gunchucks. When wielding a pair of Gunchucks, you can double your number of Attacks of Opportunity per round, but these extra attacks of opportunity are made with your offhand. This doesn't stack with the simila ability from the Two-Weapon Fighting variant.
- Horizon Of Flying Lead: You can now reload 1 bullet into your Gunchuck after each successful melee attack (Even those made with the Boomstick option) as part of the action used to attack. You can even do this with both hands full.
- Relentless Torrent: With every successful Boomstick attack, you can move 5ft towards the target you just struck as part of the action, as long as you don't exceed your land speed each round in this manner (Essentially, allowing you to move up to your land speed as part of a successful full attack). This movement doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity from the creature you struck with the Boomstick attack. This does not apply to the Boomstick damage dealt by Lead Through The Peasants.
- Blast Shot: Your Boomstick attacks can now, at your option, instead apply the attack roll and damage to everything in a 5ft cone, and targets hit are pushed back 5ft (Fort save negates, DC = 10 + 1/2 BAB + Dexterity modifier). When combined with Relentless Torrent, it allows you to mow down an opponent, pushing them back and moving with them.
- From The Gunsmoke: If you have the Improved Unarmed Strike feat, you can use this maneuver. When making a full attack with a pair of Gunchucks, and you've hit a target with at least two Boomstick attacks, they lose their Dexterity modifier against the first unarmed attack you make during the full attack, so long as it is made after the two successful Boomstick attacks. If this unarmed attack is a trip attempt, the target suffers a +5 penalty on their roll to avoid that trip attempt.
