1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
Once, an elven warrior chose the crossbow over the bow; But he found himself torn between the repeating crossbow's speed and the great crossbow's power. So he studied the technique of modifying crossbows into repeating crossbows and applied the technique to the great crossbow, creating this monster.
Like other repeating crossbows, it holds a case of 5 bolts. You reload the crossbow by pulling a lever (A free action), allowing you to make a number of attacks up to your normal attacks per round. Exchanging the case of bolts for a new one is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
You can fire a repeating great crossbow in one hand at a -4 penalty on the attack roll, but two hands are required to make use of the reloading lever or to load a new case of bolts.
