Goblin Overview[1] [2] [3] [4]

 [5]
Goblins can be found throughout the multiverse in their subterranean lairs. Before Maglubiyet conquered them, they lived in the Feywild and served the Queen of Air and Darkness, an archfey.

 [2]
Goblins are small… selfish humanoids that lair in caves… Individually weak, goblins gather in large… numbers…

Goblinoids. Goblins belong to a family of creatures called goblinoids [along with] hobgoblins and bugbears

Malicious Glee. [Goblins are] motivated by greed and malice, [and] celebrate the few times they have the upper hand…

Leaders and Followers. Goblins are ruled by the strongest or smartest among them… Goblin bosses are easily ousted, and many goblin tribes are taken over by hobgoblin warlords or bugbear chiefs .

Challenging Lairs. Goblins festoon their lairs with alarms… to signal [encroachment by] intruders. Those lairs [have] narrow tunnels and bolt-holes that [larger] creatures can't navigate… allowing [goblins] to flee or… surprise their enemies.

Rat Keepers and Wolf Riders. Goblins have an affinity for rats and wolves, raising them to serve as companions and mounts…

Goblin Pantheon[edit]

Maglubiyet. [2] Maglubiyet… is the greater god of goblinoids. …He is worshiped not out of adoration but fear.

Khurgorbaeyag. [4] Goblins once had many gods, but the only one who survived Maglubiyet's ascendancy is cruel Khurgorbaeyag, known as the Overseer. Khurgorbaeyag drives his worshipers to be the masters of others…
