A gaff is a hook used by fishermen consisting of a metal hook on a wood or metal base. Someone with martial experience would find it similar to a modified war pick.
Special: On a hit, a target that is no more than one size larger than you is grappled by the gaff. Attacking again with the gaff breaks the grappled condition. If the target breaks the grappled condition with a contested Athletics check you lose your grip on the gaff and are disarmed.
