Form of the Colossus
Transmutation
Level: Druid 9, Ki Master 9, Wu Jen (Earth) 9
Components: V, S, M
Casting time: 1 round
Range: Personal
Target: Self
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

The ground around you explodes upward and envelops you in a growing shell of matter, growing dense and shifting into vaguely stone, vaguely metal, or a vaguely fleshy pseudobody. As the transformation completes you stand, now hundreds of feet tall!

This spell transforms you into a monstrous giant form of yourself so large that you no longer are a creature so much as living terrain. You take up an 60 ft radius "footprint" on the battlefield which is considered difficult terrain for Small and larger creatures, and completely impassable for Gargantuan and larger creatures. Your AC drops to 5, regardless of what armor you're wearing, you gain hardness 10 (halve all sources of physical and energy damage), and 20 temporary hp per caster level. If your temporary hits points run out, the spell ends, but you may choose to transfer hp from yourself to your temporary hp as a non-action. You are immune to all spells and spell-like effects unless the spells also affect objects, nor can you be forcefully moved from your position. Creatures can actually climb your body (DC 25) to gain cover from you, but you can increase the DC by +10 any round you use a move action.

You do not threaten out to any range. Your usual abilities and class abilities you possess are suppressed and replaced by the following actions you can perform in this state.

  • Alter Terrain: As a full attack action you can alter the terrain around you by scooping up and removing or moving it out to a reach of 120 ft. You can affect mundane terrain up to the hardness of stone, affecting up to a 30 ft radius area or twice that amount for softer surfaces such as sand, clay, or soil. You can heighten, lower, slope, or otherwise alter the surface of the area. Creatures in this altered area must make a DC 20 Balance check or fall prone from the change. This is an instantaneous effect.
  • Defensive Stance: As a full attack action you adopt a defensive stance which renders you difficult to harm until the start of your next turn. Your hardness rises to 30, and you cannot be reduced below 1 hp (although you are of course not able to attack back, and you will eventually run out of duration).
  • Direct Strike: As a full attack action you can swing once out to a reach of 120 ft. You target a single creature, and up to 10 ft radius centered on them. You can choose to shrink or forgo the wider area as you see fit (by attacking with a thinner part of the body, such as a finger). Your attack roll is as normal, or equal to 1.5 times your caster level. A struck creature takes 1d6 points of magic bludgeoning damage per CL from the attack. Regardless if your attack roll hits the targeted creature or not, all creatures in the area of effect take 1d6 points of magic bludgeoning damage per CL, with a Reflex save for half.
  • Grab and Throw: As a full attack action you can grab onto a creature within 120 ft. Grab and throw provokes attacks of opportunity unless you have Improved Grapple. Creatures which get an attack of opportunity may do so, or may make a Reflex save (DC equal to the DC of this spell) to dodge out of the way and negate the grapple attempt. Your effective grapple score is as normal, or equal to three times your caster level. While you can maintain a grapple and injure creatures within, you deal only 1 point of damage per CL each round. Alternatively you can throw your grappled creatures of Huge size or smaller, launching them as improvised throwing weapons with a range of 50 ft, taking fall damage as appropriate. Throwing is another full attack action.
  • Focus Power: As a standard action you can draw energy into yourself to empower your next attack made before the end of your next round. This attack deals double damage.
  • Kaiju Beam: As a full attack action you can project a blast of energy out to a range of 1200 ft. It is a 1200 ft line that is 60 ft wide, dealing 1d6 points of damage per CL to all creatures in the area of effect, with a Reflex save for half. The blast can be used once every 1d4 rounds.
  • Movement: You can move up to 60 ft a round as a move action, but you cannot run. If you possessed a burrow, swim, climb, or fly speed in your original state your giant form also possesses these abilities.
  • Regenerate: As a standard action you can focus on recovering damage, restoring 1d4 points per CL to your temporary hp granted by this spell.
  • Stomp: You can stomp on the ground as a 1 round action. At the end of the round you make a Direct Strike against anywhere within your footprint. Besides dealing damage, you also cause the effect of an earthquake spell centered on your Direct Strike target. You are immune to your own earthquake.
  • Wide Sweep: You make a wide sweep of your arm to wipe out the enemy. As a full attack action, you deal 1d6 points of magic bludgeoning damage per CL to all creatures in a 120 ft cone, Reflex save negates. In addition those that fail the save are rendered prone.

You are also able to perform any actions you are able to perform with your hands and other body parts as normal, such as picking up an object. Your light carry capacity is 333,333 tons (light), 666,666 tons (medium), and 1,000,000 tons (heavy). If the transformed state is destroyed, it crumbles into a pile of debris that leaves difficult terrain within its former footprint. Any excess damage used to destroy the Form of the Colossus is transferred to you, which may kill you.

Material Component: A magical power crystal worth 1000 gp
