What are things for, anyway, other than that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you give them away?
Creatures in the area cannot bring theirselves to mind when things are taken from them. If asked for a thing, the creature will even take steps to provide it, unless they are in combat or doing so would certainly cause immediate harm to them.
The emanation follows you as you move. Creatures no longer affected by this spell (because they leave the area or the duration ends) remember what happened and may be understandably infuriated.
The first time a creature is asked during the duration of this spell, it resists with a Will save (and Spell Resistance, if applicable): if successful, the spell does not affect them for the duration, otherwise, they get no further opportunities to resist requests, even if they leave and reenter the area.
