A simple badge of office made of wood or leather and embroiled in clothing. On it is engraved the name and office of the wearer, showing as a firm sign of authority.
While worn, this normally blank badge show the bearer's name and office as well as her authority. The information on the badge cannot be faked, and such it make for a poor disguise. The badge grant a +2 competence bonus to Intimidate checks, which double against those under her jurisdiction. Twice per day, the badge may be presented as a standard action to make a demoralize opponent check against all opponents within 30 feet, except it leave those successfully intimidated At Bay rather than Shaken.
The badge only function for a character possessing some kind of office granted by class features, such as a CavalierPathfinder or KnightPHB2. This item is also function for high-ranking members of organization as well, at the GM's discretion.
If the wearer has levels in CavalierPathfinder, she may use her Embroidered Badge as her banner. She may enhance the badge further to carry the effect of a special banner as well. Instead 'waving her banner' she may present the badge instead.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, cause fear, regal presence, crafter must possess 10 ranks in Knowledge (Nobility).
