Elder Brain Synapse[edit]
This extremely rare and expensive graft is made from re-purposed brain matter from one of the Illithid's Elder Brain. In order to properly intall this graft the grafter must make a invasive surgical operations with a -10 penalty, if the check failed is failed by 10 or more the host die and the graft is ruined. If the check fail by 20 or more the synapse take over the host and it turn into a mind flayer in 1d4 weeks (at which point the host is considered dead).
When properly grafted however this graft grant the host a +4 inherent bonus to intelligence, the psionic subtype and the ability to use psionic blast as a psi-like ability (DC is intelligence-based) with a manifester equal to her character level once every 1d4+1 round.
