Eiros[edit]
Some binders only want to see the world burn. So does Eiros.
Level: 7th
Binding DC: 25
Special Requirement: The binder must be of chaotic alignment.
Legend[edit]
A long time a ago, a people of godblooded mortals walked the earth. They were called Iscari, and they wielded immense power. The Iscari built a mighty civilization, using their magic to shape the land and weather to their whims. Eiros, born of the Iscari King, was a flawed child; she possessed a great love of social ills and strife. She was a skilled trickster and a committer of mischief. Her love for Chaos was so great that she would abuse her station whenever she could get away with it, causing often large-scale strife and great harm. She quickly became known for being insane and dangerous and was not given further political power.
As the Iscari expanded, so did their magic ability; however, they were ill-prepared for coming disaster. The elder evil Extheoria came onto the Iscari, ready to reap the fruit of their great civilization. In a last-ditch effort to save their civilization, the greatest clerics, mages, and psions of the Iscari gathered to perform a incredible ritual that would allow a select few to escape the destruction and rebuild on another world. Eriros was a powerful mage and royalty; despite her insanity, she was one of the few selected to be saved. However, in the dying day of the Iscari civilization, Eiros found herself surrounded by the chaos and strife she so craved. Eiros decided to stay behind, both for her revelry and because she was offended by the cowardice of her peers. Some say she sabotaged their ritual, but no source is clear on this, especially not Eiros herself.
In the end, the Iscari were wiped out by Extheoria, but it wasn't the end for Eiros. Her spirit was so restless that it was rejected by the Elder Evil. With her world gone and nowhere to go, it simply slipped outside of reality, somewhere where she could cause more mischief.
Special summoning[edit]
Eiros is a difficult vestige to please; she will only bind with a chaotic binder or a binder that willingly makes a bad pact with her.
Manifestation[edit]
Eiros appears as a spectral human woman with shaved hair, visible bruises over her entire body, a mischievous grin, and eyes filled with madness.
Sign[edit]
Binders who show Eiros's sign share her mischievous grin and eyes of madness.
Influence[edit]
Eiros makes the binder erratic and chaotic; the binder will seek to spread strife and conflict wherever she goes. Eiros will push for creating social conflict, especially if it degenerate to violence. The binder's alignment becomes one step more chaotic and evil for the duration of the pact.
Granted Abilities[edit]
Defile the Mind[edit]
As a standard action, the binder may designate a creature within medium range she has line of sight to. The binder ignores immunity to mind-affecting and compulsion effects against that creature. You may not designate a mindless creature with this ability.
Entity of Strife[edit]
This ability may only be used if the binder made a 'bad' pact with Eiros. As a full-round action, the binder may display the true power of the Entity of Strife. All enemy creatures within a 60 ft. radius around the binder are affected by sibling rivalry (will negates). All nonallies (but not enemies) within the same radius are affected by a suggestion (will negates) to abandon all responsibilities and party hard. All allies within the same radius are affected by a good hope spell. The Entity of Strife is a supernatural ability. The binder may use this ability once every 5 rounds.
Kiss of Eiros[edit]
The binder gains the ability to spread Eiros's power with a simple kiss. After the binder kisses a target, she may apply insanity or charm monster (saves as normal). Kissing an unwilling creature requires a melee touch attack. Kiss or Eiros is a supernatural ability. The binder may use this ability once every 5 rounds.
Power of Chaos[edit]
At the binder's option, whenever one of her mind-affecting supernatural abilities, spell-like abilities, or spell's duration run out on a target creature, she may also have this creature become confused for 1d4 rounds.
