Wrested from the mouth of an everlasting dragon, this giant club protects its wielder and crushes his enemies.
The Dragon's Tooth is exactly what its name suggests; the massive tooth of an ancient dragon whose name is lost to time. It was believed that before the rise of Man, the dragons ruled the primordial Earth. This huge, overcompensatory weapon has been prepared for the use of Bishop Havel in his duties. The dragon's tooth is a heavy greathammer, dealing 2d8 points of base bludgeoning damage with a critical of 20/×3. The Dragon's Tooth is nigh indestructible; its hardness is 50, reducing damage from all sources - not just physical ones - and it has 150 hit points.
The Dragon's Tooth provides the following benefits when held, on top of its general offensive capabilities:
- You gain resistance to fire 15.
- All the added effects granted by the wyrmbone material, including the once per round bonus damage and counting as adamantine. It cannot receive the benefit of other materials.
- Against arcane spells, you gain a +1 bonus to saving throws and spell dampening 1. This stacks with the bonuses from Havel's armor and Havel's greatshield.
- When wielding the Dragon's Tooth, you gain the Staggering Blow ability of the Shrekken Touched template.
The Dragon's Tooth be magically enhanced as though it was a mundane weapon. The benefits granted by the Dragon's Tooth are equivalent to a +2 weapon quality; as such, enhancing it further carries the commensurate cost. Adding a +1 enhancement costs the same as enhancing a +2 weapon to +3, i.e. 10,000 gp. Enhancement bonus and qualities totalling no more than +8 can be added to the Dragon's Tooth.
The Dragon's Tooth cannot be repaired with mundane tools, as it is made of the tooth of an everlasting dragon. Repairing a damaged Dragon's Tooth requires the aid of a lesser miracle. Repairing a Dragon's Tooth without the aid of magic requires the broken pieces to be hewn anew, which requires magical tools such as a transmuter's forge, a substitute of wyrmbone and a DC 40 Craft (weaponsmithing) check, as well as 100 gp worth of material per point of damage needing to be restored.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, stone shape, Craft (weaponsmithing) DC 40 along with a casting of lesser miracle.
Cost to Create: 6,000 gp, 320 EXP, 8 days.
