Dire Rat Needler[edit]
The Dire Rat Needler is just a dire rat following the basic stats of the updated Dire Rate. This is mostly just for easy reference for my quest,CODD.

Dire Rat Needler Tactics[edit]
Text from MM 1 Page 219:
Dire Rats stealthy creatures that like to hunt in small packs, sneaking up on prey and ganging up on one creature at a time.
Dire Rat Needler Tactics Lore[edit]
From MM I Page 219 A character knows the following information with a successful Nature check.
- DC 15* Rats are sacred to Torog, the King That Crawls. Their presence e signifies plague, decay, and collapse in decadent cities.
- DC 15 is now DC 10 by the normal skill rules- (an easy DC)
Specific to Needler A character knows the following information with a successful Nature check.
- DC 10Needlers are vicious Dire Rats that lack a large enough mouth to bite enemies with, and instead shoot bones out of their back to attack enemies from afar.
- DC 15 Dire Needlers cannot transfer disease through their bite attack, only through their bone attacks
- DC 20Some point in history, a gland was produced(either by a mad wizard's experimentation, or some strange natural evolution) for Dire Rats to more easily transfer Filth Feever-many of these rats now can transfer other diseases and poisons through these advanced disease making glands, sometimes become large threats.
However, most Dire Rats do not have this gland. The Dire Rat Needler is an example of a simple natural evolution of a Dire Rat with a gland, the gland somehow being transferred to it's back, leaving its mouth to become an unnecessary survival tool, and it's body adjusted to long range attacks using it's Own bones to attack enemies.
