A weapon made of stabilized digital energy, a data weapon looks digital in nature, often of a strange brilliant color, sharp edges and unusual shapes.
As time and space only relatively exists for a data weapon, it can be be called to the wielder's hand as per the Instant Recall enhancement. If the weapon is destroyed, it reforms intact in its previous location 1 round later. A data weapon partly ignores the laws of reality, making it effectively supernaturally "sharp", allowing it to ignore hardness and its damage is never reduced when attacking objects.
A successful hit from a data weapon acts as a Bane weapon for the following creature: digital construct (Aisled, Aireaver, Carcikoma, Replicant Human or Synth, but not a WarforgedEberron or Golem), creatures of the Bot subtype and Cyborgs. If such a creature is slain by the weapon, the user may have their consciousness absorbed into the weapon. This function as trap the soul except it functions even on a creature without a soul. The data weapon may hold an unlimited number of consciousness, and the wielder may delete one as a standard action, releasing its soul if any. The data weapon act as a Black Box for every creatures whose consciousness is trapped within it
On a roll of natural 20 against such a creature, a data weapon instantly obliterates its consciousness. The wielder may absorb the construct's consciousness as normal or consign it to oblivion.
A creature trapped in the weapon experiences a digital datascape, established when the weapon is created. The consciousness inside can freely interact with each other, but are otherwise powerless. The wielder of the weapon may speak with any of the trapped consciousness, hearing their voice. The wielder, however, has no ability to force them to answer, speak the truth or else.
