Damned Subtype[edit]

The damned subtype represent mortals being turned into devils after their passing. The product of an extra article added to Pact Primeval, certain creatures are to be 'rehabilitated' instead of mercilessly punished. These creatures are not full devil and enjoy their memories of their old lives, although dying over and over again ultimately strip them down of even that. Alternatively certain creatures are simply too useful for the forces of hell to turn into lemure, these special individuals are allowed to keep their old selves.

The benefit of the Damned Subtype is overwritten by the benefits of the Devil subtype. However it is usually retained alongside it for mortals who ascended to full devilhood.

Traits[edit]

A Damned creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).

  • Immunity to poisons.
  • Fire Resistance 10
  • Darkvision 60 ft.
  • A Damned creature's mortal self cannot be raised from the dead as long the damned creature is still alive.
