Their weak point is the back of the ankle. Cut it, and you cut their chances of winning short.
Make a melee attack with any slashing weapon. In addition to the damage, the creature must make a Fortitude save or takes 1d6 Dex damage and have an important tendon of your choice severed from the following:
- Ankles: The creature's land and burrow speeds are halved. They cannot run or charge.
- Wings: The creature's fly speed generated by their wings is halved, and their maneuverability drops by one step (minimum clumsy).
- Wrists: The creature cannot properly hold weapons and must use them as improvised weapons (-4 on attack rolls, and only 20/x2 critical range).
Penalties last until the creature has been restored to full health, a heal check equal to 10 + initiator level is made as a standard action, or regenerate is cast. A successful save negates the penalties, but not the damage from the melee attack.
