This pointed cone hat ends in a tip that appears to be a crow head. It twitches and moves on its own, sometimes vocalizing or repeating phrases.
A strange hat that has been animated, and topped with a lifelike crow head. The head acts on its own, but is little smarter than the animal it represents and doesn't do anything except occasionally caw on its own. However, the hat can be taught up to four phrases or sentences, and taught appropriate times to speak them. With clever use one can fake some intellect in the hat.
The hat watches people you remember, and remembers the name and faces of everyone you have ever met. Beyond its short phrases, it can repeat names it has learned and can confirm if it has met a face before.
The crow can hold items in your steed. Treat it as an extra hand that can hold up to 5 lbs, and you can switch items from your hat to your hand and vice versa as a free action.
The hat is not great for stealth, for there is a 5% chance that when you make a check to Move Silently it will caw out randomly.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, animate objects, mage hand, ventriloquism.
