Consumption the Everwyrm[edit]

In the depths of the 32nd layer of the Abyss, known as Sholo-Tovoth, existed a powerful demon who devoured all in his wake. Its presence threatened beyond the abyss and soon it would come to pass that he would face warriors of light and justice. Each of these warriors were as brave as they were strong, and each perished and was devoured until only one remained. The survivor, a sealer of the church, tried to bind the demon to himself while he was weakened in a bid to control it, and succeeded in confining it to mortal flesh, yet the demon corrupted the cleric and transformed him into a charismatic demonhost who would return to do evil in the world. He would remain in this lessened state until the day he attempted to return to glory and failed, his ritual disrupted by a new breed of heroes. He did regain his true glory, but now was unable to act upon the world. Known as Phizbirro in his mortal life, the demon possessing him, Consumption, was reborn, but lost in time and space.

Special Requirement: Yes

Legend[edit]

The history of the original host known as Phizbirro is unclear. Some say he was a victim of circumstance, while others speak that he willingly became demonhost and he ran a cult dedicated to chaos, greed, and madness. No matter his origins, he nevertheless found himself in the public eye due to his shameless hedonism and over-the-top and flagrant disregard of common decency. Yet he also found followers and fame through his own talents, uncanny luck, and seemingly untouchable charisma. For this reason, via talent and infamy, he rose in the ranks of society until he nearly had power and authority.

Others recognized his presence as unnatural and went to face off against the demonhost. After many encounters, a cleric had finally entrapped him long enough to attempt an exorcism while he was in the midst of a great evil ritual which would seal his dominion over the world. It is uncertain if it was due to the exorcism attempt or a failure in the ritual, but the end result would be a vortex through time and space. Phizbirro and several others were pulled through, never to be seen again.

Yet, there are some who say they still feel his presence. His infectious personality continues to bubble and fester in the hearts of man, awaiting the day for someone to call upon him again.

Special summoning[edit]

The binder must have previously made a bad pact with Phizbirro the Blasphemous.

Manifestation[edit]

Reality cracks around you, and eight towering snake heads rise around you in a circle. Their bodies are composed of black shadow, with gnashing white teeth and crimson bloody maws apperating and vanishing upon its rolling inky surface. Each is easily the size of a fully grown dragon, its hidden body clearly dwarfing even those titans. They speak in discordant chorus, many voices whispering dark temperations of the binder's deepest and secret desires and encouraging them to indulge in sin while a contract with the binder is made. On successful binding, the binder's mouth cracks open unnaturally wide and he inhales the demon's mass in the form of smoke, becoming the new demonhost body.

Sign[edit]

The binder is seemly partly composed of flickering liquid shadow, with fiendish eyes and mouths appearing within its pitch darkness. The binder's features are insane and wild, with a wicked hungry grin present at all times.

Influence[edit]

Consumption fills the binder with an insatable hunger that can only be filled through indulging, whether it be food, pleasure, violence, music... anything at all, as long as it is in excess.

Granted Abilities[edit]

Avatar of Avarice[edit]

As an immediate action, you can cause any effect which would occur within 30 ft to affect you instead, such as a spell or a potion. The creature recieving the benefit of an action can make a Will save to retain the effect; success on the save negates your theft attempt.

If you are also bound to Phizbirro the Blasphemous, you may use the Curse of Want ability at will.

Consume Matter[edit]

The binder devours up to a 10 ft cube of material in an instant, duplicating the effect of disintegrate against objects (but not damaging creatures, with all the same restrictions as the spell). The binder may use this once every 5 rounds.

Devouring Hydra[edit]

You gain eight shadowy snake-like heads which can make attacks with reach. This deals 2d6 damage + your Charisma modifier in damage with a 20/×2 critical, and you receive half the damage you deal as temporary hp. Temporary hp overlaps, it does not stack. This is considered a primary natural weapon and your attack roll is either Strength or Dexterity based. Though you have up to eight attacks, only up to four can target the same creature each round.

If a creature is slain by your attack, they are devoured whole, which destroys their body, making it impossible to perform any form of revival, reanimation, soul-trapping, or other such things that require the corpse to be fully or partially intact. Upon consuming a creature in this way, you recover hp and ability damage as if you had rested 8 hours.

If you are also bound to Phizbirro the Blasphemous, this replaces Devouring Serpent, the damage rises to 2d6, and you may make a full attack as a standard action.

Everything is Edible[edit]

You are capable of eating and absorbing nutritoun from any substance, and the inside of your mouth, including your teeth, are impervious to harm. This allows you to eat things like nails, uranium, ingested poisons, lava, and other harmful substances, as long as it doesn't touch anywhere besides your lips and further in. It does not give you the ability to chew everything, but you can always attempt to swallow.

Mindeater[edit]

If you eat a slain opponent (either literally or via Consume Matter or Devouring Hydra), you learn part of their history as if using mind probe, learning up to 8 questions. You can eat bodies up to 24 hours old, and only need to consume a handful if eating manually (an act which takes 1 move action and provokes attacks of opportunity). You draw from the memories hidden in the flesh; future attempts on the same body do not function beyond 8 questions.
