This spell causes a small burst of decaying energy, rotting away an unfortunate creature, even an nonliving creature such as constructs or undead. The spell's target takes 1d4 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d4) and is staggered for 1 round. A target that succeeds at a Reflex saving throw takes half damage and negates the staggered effect.
