The book looks heavy and chunky, with adamantine bracing and magical wards.
This enhanced book cover is designed for spellbooks and other books of importance. The book's cover and contents gain hardness 20, which halves all sources of damage, and +40 additional hit points. If destroyed, it can be restored in full with a casting of make whole on the remains, but this consumes the remains of the cover as part of repairing it.
Adding or removing a book cover is a standard action which provokes attacks of opportunity.
