This book cover is dull gray when not applied. However upon slipping it on, the arcane and obviously magical tome transforms into a harmless cookbook. "50 Ways to Prepare Owlbear", nice.
This enhanced book cover is designed for spellbooks and other books of importance. As a standard action you can transform the book's appearance to anything of roughly the same size and shape. It even alters the pages within. Creatures interacting gain a Will save to disbelieve, DC 11 + the highest mental ability modifier of the one who set the appearance of the book last.
Adding or removing a book cover is a standard action which provokes attacks of opportunity.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, silent image.
Cost to Create: 500 gp, 40 EXP, 1 day.
