Bonus Language Barrier
Gain other skills instead of bonus languages.
Benefit: For every bonus starting language you would have gained for having a high Intelligence modifier, you gain 1 skill point to invest in an Intelligence-based skill instead. These points cannot be invested to learn languages.
Drawback: You no longer gain bonus languages for having a high Intelligence modifier.
Roleplaying Ideas: Perhaps you never bothered to learn Elven and instead focused on reading books about nature instead. Maybe you were born into a mono-linguistic culture, and despite your intelligence, you never picked up learning other languages.
