This baroque black blade bears blood long dried upon it. It offers a curse: slay, and gain strength.
This +1 short sword counts as evil damage for the purpose of damage reduction and regeneration. When first grasped by a creature, three names of allies or loved ones chosen randomly appear on the weapon in abyssal, but the wielder can read it regardless of language. They are imparted the knowledge that if they slay all three of these people, great power will be theirs.
If they can perform this evil deed, its true power is unlocked. The weapon deals an additional 3d6 profane divine damage which is considered part of the weapons base damage, and thus multiplied on a critical hit. They can now teleport the blade to their side with a move action without provoking. The wielder's heart is numbed while they own the blade, and they are immune to charms, compulsions, and fear, and any effect which would alter their emotions. They also learn the language of Abyssal. These cursed creatures are surely evil at this point.
The deed is not without peril. If the owner of one of the names sees the blade and their name, they become aware of its meaning and gain a +4 sacred bonus on attack, AC, and saving throws against you for as long as you wield the blade.
If the deed becomes impossible, it may continue to choose new names and allies until the task is complete.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, unholy blight.
Cost to Create: 9310 gp, 720 EXP, 18 days.
