Suffer not the fool who trespasses these hoary woods. Those who enter shall be hunted by the guardians of this forest.
When you cast this spell, you enchant an area to warn of intruders, and link it to your focus item. You can set the area to allow or exclude based on alignment, type and subtype, hit dice, physical appearance, or specific creatures. If said creatures enter your area, your become immediately aware that this is occurring (but not who) and can choose to invade your enchanted area as per astral invader (no save) in order to defend it. You appear as a glowing blue astral body, while your actual body goes into suspended animation, and the effect ends after 1 hour or until you or the target creature(s) are dead. Unlike astral invader, this spell does not end once you return to your body. The area remains protected until your focus is destroyed or the area is dispelled. You are still limited in how often you can invade if you are defeated, but the cooldown is only 1 hour instead of 24 hours before you can try another invasion, assuming the creature is still in the protected area.
The focus can only be linked to one area at a time. You can use a different focus, or replace your old area by casting this spell again.
Focus: A white ring with a guarding beast carved on it, worth 1000 gp.
