Aquaborn[edit]
Your species is normally terrestrial, but your breed is of the aquatic sort. Perhaps it was a freak mutation, or there is an entire species of your kind. You live beneath the waves.
Creating an Aquaborn[edit]
This is an inherent template which can be added to any creature.
Size and Type[edit]
You retain your type, but gain the Aquatic subtype. As part of it, you can breath water but can no longer breath air.
Speed[edit]
The creatures speeds are reduced to 2/3rd (rounding down to the nearest 5 ft interval, minimum 5 ft). They gain a swim speed equal to this new land speed.
Skills[edit]
The creature has a +8 racial bonus on any Swim check to perform some action or avoid a hazard. It can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line.
Environment[edit]
Aquatic.
