Alternate Confusion[edit]
The confusion table is ok, but if you're confused about confusion or just want to try something else, try this confusion chart. Numbers are stripped down and effects are slightly changed.
1d6 | Behavior |
---|---|
1 | Attack nearest creature. |
2 | Fumble, injuring oneself for your base weapon damage. |
3 | Do nothing but babble incoherently. |
4 | Flee away from caster at top possible speed. |
5 | Act normally, but creature can only take a single standard or move action. |
6 | Act normally. |
It otherwise acts as normal with one exception, in any round that they would attack an ally due to being attacked themselves they gain an additional saving throw. If they succeed, they roll to act randomly as normal instead of counterattacking automatically. This save does not end the confusion effect.
