The target ignites, taking 3d6 points of fire damage, and they proceed to burn for 1 round/level, taking 1d6 points of damage at the start of your turn. They can stamp out the flames as a full round action, or by applying any effect (such as water) which would snuff flames. A successful save halves the initial damage and limits the burn to 1 round.
Ignited objects burn strongly enough to provoke a saving throw against the power's initial damage and threat of ignition for entities stepping into their square, until the duration is over or the object runs out of hp. Creatures which perish (becoming an object, a corpse) merely burn the rest of their allotted duration.
Augment: For every additional power point you spend, this power’s initial damage increases by one die (d6). For each extra two dice of damage, this power’s save DC increases by 1.
