Aeon Parchment

So that's how this 10,000 year old tome is still around, it's aeon parchment.

Aeon parchment is created through a semi-magical alchemical process in which normal paper is fortified with abjurative properties. Though it is created with spells, the end result is quite mundane. Aeon parchment is a slightly yellowed and leathery paper that resists heat, cold, and the dangers of the elements. It is not flammable and is effectively waterproof, though intense or prolonged dangers (such as being submerged in a pool of acid or struck by superheated lava) will damage the book. Normal physical trauma affects the paper normally. In short the paper is never harmed by anything that would be covered under endure elements and possesses energy resistance 20 against any non-instantaneous damaging elemental effect (acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic).

The price is for 20 book pages worth of parchment. For your average spellbook to be made entirely of it, that is a +250 gp cost.

Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item or 8 ranks in Craft Alchemy, endure elements, requires a DC 25 Craft Alchemy check if not possessing Craft Wondrous Item.
Cost to Create: 50 gp, 4 EXP (0 EXP if done with a craft check), 1 days.
