Ancestral Bloodline

Instead of dragons or demons, your powers draw on your mortal ancestors.

Class: Bloodline Warlock

Level: 1

Replaces: New Bloodline Option

Benefit: An Ancestral Bloodline Warlock gains the following benefits-

Ancestral Bloodline[edit]

Your blood does not course with the energies of fell and terrible magical creatures, rather, your own ancestors (or perhaps someone else's) provide the powers you call upon. Your dreams are frequently hijacked by ancestors who want to tell you something, and even when awake you may hear their whispers in your ears. Your powers are equal parts those of the grave, the glory of legendary people, and ghostly.

Ascension: Your ancestors infuse your body and become one with you. You gain a deflection bonus to AC equal to your Charisma bonus, and can see ethereal and invisible creatures.

Ancestral Weapon (Sp): You may use ancestral weapon as a spell-like ability at will with a caster level equal to your class level. The weapon always resembles some fabled weapon of your ancestors, and is treated as your eldritch blast for the purposes of things which would modify that. Requires a minimum class level of 3rd.

Dream Precognition (Sp): When you dream, you see the future. You mimic the effects of moment of prescience, though with a casting time of 10 minutes as you must rest and actively daydream or sleep to gain the bonus. Requires a minimum class level of 8th.

Friends on the Other Side (Ex): Your ancestors talk about you to, well, anyone who'll listen. Which is mostly undead things. The undead treat you as one of their own. They do not inherently attack you unless commanded to do so, and you possess a +4 dodge bonus against the undead. You may use bluff, diplomacy, and intimidate on even non-intelligent undead and speak to them regardless of language. Requires a minimum class level of 3rd.

Gifts of the Elders (Ex): Some sign of aging, such as wrinkles or grey hair manifests while you are still young. Gain an extra invocation known at each level you have access to. Requires a minimum class level of 3rd.

Heirloom Herald (Ex): You gain some small piece of jewelry that belonged to an ancestor, which holds a faint echo of that ancestor within it. This heirloom is effectively a psicrystal, and so you gain the Psicrystal Affinity feat. You may share your invocations with your psicrystal whenever you would otherwise use powers.

Pressure of Presence (Ex): The presence of your ancestors manifests itself in your attacks. Add your charisma bonus to your damage with your Eldritch Blast.

Spiritual Sentinels (Ex): Your ancestors have your back. Literally. They are constantly watching and warning you of danger. You can see in all directions and cannot be flanked. You always act in a surprise round, and are immune to dazzling and blindness. Once per day you can use commune as a spell-like ability. Requires a minimum class level of 13th.

Tutelage of Time (Ex): You may use your Intelligence instead of Charisma for all Warlock class features and all charisma-based skill or ability checks.
