In order to manifest this power, the manifester must expend her psionic focus. The manifester of this pwoer insert a single thought of her choice in the mind of the target. The thought must be somewhat simple such as 'do not lock the door on your way our' or 'don't forget your keys'. You do not need to share a language with the target of this power. The target is allowed an Intelligence check to realize that the thought is not her own, with a bonus or penalty ranging from +10 to -10, gaining a bonus if the thought is out of character or taking a penalty if it character. This power has no effect against creature with an Intelligence of 3 or below.
Intelligence Check | Result |
---|---|
14 or less | The target is convinced that the thought is her own and usually follow through unless doing so is dangerous or wildly out of their nature. Even if the thought is not followed the target will usually reconsider it positions in relation to the thought. |
15 | The target think that the thought is her own but is free to dismiss it if it against her nature. She usually follow through if the thought is according to their nature and they have a 50% chance of following a thought |
20 | The target realize the thought is not her own and may dismiss it. She may become suspicious of the possible source of the thought. |
Augment: If you spend an additional 4 power point you may associate an emotion with the inserted thought. This usually has a great effect on the bonus or penalty on the Intelligence check.
