Knight Nurse

Not all Paladins seek to destroy evil, some are protectors and rescuers. The Order of the Knight Nurse focus on providing medical relief to communities besiege by war. They are adept of both magical healing and mundane medical healing and possess the ability to defend themselves. While they can, like normal Paladins, be decked in the heaviest armor and wielding martial weapons, they lack the ability to detect and smite evil.

Class: Paladin

Level: 1st-20th

Replaces: Spellcasting, Detect Evil, Smite Evil, Lay on Hand, Remove Disease

Benefit: You gain spellcasting as a Cleric of your class level, you have the ability to spontaneously cast cure spell. However you possess one less spell per day at every level you can cast (minimum of 0) and you do not have access to orisons or domains. You have access to the Paladin's list as normal and to the (Healing) subschool spells on the Cleric list. You gain Skill Focus (Heal) as a bonus feat and access to Advanced Medical.

A Knight Nurse may use detect disease as a spell-like ability at-will.

When you gain Lay on Hand you heal 2x Paladin Level x Charisma modifier instead of the normal amount. If you are a Pathfinder Paladin your Lay on Hand is counted in d10s instead of d6.

At 3rd level you gain Eschew Materials as a bonus feat, however it only function for spells of the healing subschool.
