I approve of this concept, especially at higher level games where casters are playing rocket tag and a poor initiative roll and failed save means "Ur ded, sry, plz feed your charsheet into the adamantine paper shredder of single dramatic tears."

I feel this would synergize well with TK's "Dying is Serious" rule variant. Character death should mean something unless you're an X-Man, so being incapacitated but not insta-dead appeals to the type of game I enjoy running/playing in.
