Bones of the Basset Hound
You are big-boned with such high bone density that you are stronger than your size suggests, but can't swim and are shorter than most members of your race
Benefit: You gain Powerful Build
Drawback: You can't swim. Swim is never a class skill for you and you cannot put ranks into it. Additionally, you are considered to be wearing Full Plate Armor for the purposes of armor check penalties and penalties to movement and class features, but do not gain the armor bonus or any other benefits. If you are actually wearing Medium Armor or Heavy Armor, your speed is cut in half instead of being reduced to 3/4ths
Special: Due to your legs being short and squat, you are shorter than most other members of your race. While you are still the same size category as normal, you count as one size category smaller for the purposes of reach.
Special 2: If you are wearing Light, Medium, or Heavy Armor, the armor check penalties gained from the armor stack with those that you get from the trait itself
Roleplaying Ideas: You suffer from a crippling fear of drowning and avoid deep water at all costs. You may or may not be sensitive about your height and or weight as well and are quick to correct people when they call you fat, say that you're just "big boned"
