Enclave Mystic
An occultist with ties with druidic traditions, drawing powers from sacred implements to perform deeds of ancient nature magic. These occultists study the old ways, usually looking very far back in history for snippets of ancient lore, or a spell of yore.
Class: Occultist
Level: 1st, 3rd, 8th, 12th, 18th
Replaces: Class Skills, Implements (Altered), Focus Power (3rd), Magic Circle, Binding Circle, Fast Circle
Benefit: A enclave mystic gain access to the following class features:
Class Skills: An enclave mystic adds Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (nature), and Survival to her list of class skills instead of Disable Device, Knowledge (engineering) and Use Magic Device.
This alters the occultist’s class skills.
Sacred Focus: While the enclave mystic is not a divine caster, she cannot center herself without the use of a divine focus (as a druid). Furthermore, because of the sacred bond between herself and her foci, they only grant their benefits when used by the enclave mystic, and not other creatures. If an enclave mystic’s focus power would replicate the effect of summon monster, it replicates the effect of summon nature’s ally instead. An enclave mystic start the game with one less implement as normal, but gains the Natural Thaumaturge as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites.
This ability alters the enclave mystic's implement, but is compatible with any archetype that alters implement as long as they gain two implements at 1st level (see Geomancer compatibility patch).
Survival Lore (Ex): A 2nd level enclave mystic adds her Intelligence bonus to her Survival checks.
This ability replaces magic items skill.
Shrouded Steps (Ex): A 3rd level enclave mystic gains the Trackless Steps and Woodland Strike ability of a druid of her level.
This ability replaces the focus power gained at 3rd level.
Ancient Knowledge (Ex): A 8th level enclave mystic chooses an additional spell from the druid list for each level she can cast to add to her spell known, as per Natural Thaumaturge. Additionally she gains a bonus on Knowledge (Nature) and Knowledge (Religion) equal to half her class level.
This ability replaces magic circle and fast circle.
Natural Revelation (Sp): At 12th level, the enclave mystic can cast commune with nature by once per day, using her occultist level as her caster level.
This ability replaces binding circle.
Geomancer Compatibility Patch: This archetype can be combined with the normally incompatible Geomancer archetype:
- You gain Natural Thaumaturge instead of your 2nd level implement.
- You gain survivalist instead of survival lore.
