Negative Mender [General]
Some menders learn to convert their positive energy into negative energy. This manifests in many waysPrerequisites: Mender classBenefit: Gain new abilities to use with your negative energy burst as you gain HD.
- 1 HD: You can choose freely between positive and negative energy when you use your Healing Burst ability. This does not cost extra points from your Life Force pool. This can be used with any ability that would normally be able to modify a Healing Burst.
- 2 HD: Fearful Burst: When using a Burst with negative energy, you may choose to add a fear effect. To do so, the mender can spend an extra point (this added cost applies to the limit of points spent on one burst). If they do, the target also receives the effect of a fear spell, with a save DC based on Wisdom or Charisma, whichever is higher and a caster level of the mender's mender level. They may also spend extra points for this effect (the per burst limit still applies). For every extra point, the save DC increases by 1.
- 7 HD: Slowing Burst: When using a burst with negative energy, you may choose to add a slowing effect. To do so, the mender may choose to spend an extra two points on top of the cost (the per burst limit still applies). If they do, the target also receives the effect of a slow spell, with a caster level of the mender's mender level
- 10 HD: You can designate a single allergen or environmental factor (such as pollen, plant fibers, animal fur, certain foods, mud, etc.), and cause a target's immune system to go into a hyperactive state. To do so, the mender can spend an extra six points (this added cost applies to the limit of points spent on one burst). If they do, the target also becomes lightly, moderately, or severely (chosen by the mender when choosing the allergen) allergic to the chosen allergen.
